Ingredients Chocolate-hazelnut rolls:
For the dough:
2 cups (260 g) all-purpose flour
1/4 cup (50 g) sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons instant dry yeast
1/2 cup (120 ml) warm milk
1/4 cup (56 g) melted butter
1 egg
For the topping:
1/2 cup (56 g) toasted hazelnuts, chopped
1/2 cup (90 g) dark chocolate chips
1/4 cup (50 g) brown sugar
1/4 cup (56 g) melted butter
Instructions :
In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt and yeast.
In another bowl, mix the lukewarm milk, melted butter and egg.
Pour the liquid mixture over the flour mixture and stir until the dough comes together.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover and let rise for 1 hour.
While the dough is rising, prepare the filling by mixing together the chopped hazelnuts, dark chocolate chips, brown sugar and melted butter.
Once the dough has risen, roll it out into a 1/4-inch (about 0.6 cm) thick rectangle.
Spread the filling on the dough and roll it into a cylinder.
Cut the cylinder into 1-inch (about 2.5 cm) thick slices and place them on a baking sheet.
Let the rolls rest for 15 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake the rolls in the oven for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
Let the rolls cool on a rack before serving.
