Today, we are delighted to share with you a delicious and easy recipe to make in 2024: the Coton Cake. This soft and light cake, with an evocative name, is perfect for a comforting sweet break at any time of the day.
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 120g caster sugar
- 120g flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 60ml vegetable oil
- 60ml of milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- Preheat your oven to 180°C (thermostat 6) and lightly grease a round cake tin.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the vegetable oil, milk and vanilla extract to the egg and sugar mixture and mix well.
- In another bowl, sift the flour, baking powder and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the egg and sugar mixture, stirring gently until the batter is smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface with a spatula.
- Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes, then turn it out and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
